Conductivity Lab

Here is our conductivity lab! We tested the conductivity of six different materials: calcium chloride, antacid, light corn syrup, potassium chloride, cheerios, and molasses. We mixed everything we just a little bit of water, the used our handy, dandy, battery operated conductivity tester to test the conductivity of it all.

Our conductivity tester didn't actually calculate the conductivity of everything it tested, it just gave different level of brightness on it's little red light. So, we based the conductivity of everything by how bright the light on the tester was. Calcium chloride was obviously the most conductive out of all the things we tested. Potassium chloride was the second best, it was bright, but not quite as bright as calcium chloride. Third best was our antacid and light corn syrup, the light emitted from them was only at a medium brightness. Finally, we have cheerios and molasses who had a low brightness on the tester.

So, calcium chloride is more conductive than molasses.
